Heart-Healthy Fats Smoothie

Good fats have been getting a lot of press lately because new studies show that they can improve your health by lowering your risk for heart disease and improving your cholesterol profile. This recipe includes many of the go-to good fats that you can add to your diet like avocado, chia seeds, and hemp seeds. Not only do these healthy fats help lower your LDL ("bad") cholesterol, they're also satisfying, so you're not looking for more things to snack on after enjoying this smoothie! It's loaded with sweet favorites, like banana and strawberries, but we've also added fragrant basil – which has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Spinach
  • 2 Basil
  • 1/4 cup Cucumber
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • 1/2 Banana, frozen
  • 3 Strawberries, frozen
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple, fresh
  • 1 cup Coconut Water
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Superfood Essentials Vanilla Plant-Based Protein
