Brown Rice Cereal

Cereal is a classic introductory food for babies. We like using brown rice since it’s a whole grain and a natural source of fiber. It also combines well with other fruit and veggie purees. Recommended age: 6 to 8 months.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Brown Rice, uncooked
  • 1 1/2 cup Water – or breast milk or baby formula

Directions

1

Add 1/2 cup of uncooked brown rice to the Batchbowl and blend for 45 seconds to a fine powder.

2

Add the milled brown rice and 1 1/2 cups of water, breast milk, or prepared formula to a pot and stir.

3

Bring the pot to a boil and reduce to a simmer (low heat) for 15 minutes.

4

Test the consistency of the brown rice cereal. To make thinner, add more liquid.
