Aquarius

recipe by Ricky Wang

Innovative, unconventional, big-picture thinking. That’s the defining characteristic of Aquarius. Concerned with the state of the world on a macro level, it’s not unusual to find Aquarians pioneering environmental or humanitarian causes or concocting plans to upend the status quo. Progress is the name of the game, and whether it’s through scientific research, tech development, artmaking, or activism, Aquarians use their intellectual prowess to explore and advocate for the limitless possibilities of all that could be.

While all this brainy idealism can be a beautiful thing, Aquarians should take care to balance their head-in-the-clouds thinking with some grounding practices lest they completely float away. Their preference for the theoretical can also make them come across as distant and unfeeling in social interactions. While they know, deep down, that their passions are driven by a big, juicy heart, it wouldn’t hurt for them to land the spaceship and share it with their fellow earthlings once in a while. Planning intentional, quality time with loved ones can help divert their attention from UFOs to TLC and allow them to apply their broad humanitarian principles to close personal relationships.

Our Aquarius cocktail takes the refreshing frozen margarita and turns it bright blue. Innovation at its most delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 Lime
  • 1/4 tsp Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  • 1 1/2 fl oz Tequila – blanco tequila
  • 1/2 fl oz (no ice) Cordial or liqueur – blue curacao
  • 1 fl oz Lime Juice
  • 3/4 fl oz Agave Nectar

Directions

1

Cut the lime in half crosswise. Cut one half into two wedges and rim your serving glass by rubbing one lime wedge around the rim, then dipping the rim in salt. Cut a wheel-shaped cross-section from the other half of your lime and set aside for garnishing.

2

Combine tequila, blue curacao, lime juice, and agave in the magic bullet® Blending Cup. Blend for a few seconds to fully combine.

3

Add ice to the magic bullet® mixture and pulse until your drink reaches its desired consistency.

4

Pour into the rimmed glass.

5

Garnish with the lime wheel.

6

Enjoy!
